In the morning, you will be transferred to the Lake Atitlán viewpoint for a panoramic view of one of the most beautiful lakes in the world and one of Guatemala’s most famous natural attractions. You will then continue to Chichicastenango, where it is Market Day.
You will visit the largest and most colorful open-air indigenous market in Guatemala. Hundreds of indigenous vendors arrive from surrounding villages to sell and trade their products. You will also be able to observe the religious ceremonies that take place inside and outside the Church of Santo Tomás, which is over 400 years old. (Shorts, swimwear, and any type of photography inside the church are NOT permitted.)
In the afternoon, you will return to Guatemala City.
